In the Beginning · Lesson 4 · Psalm 104:10–24, 27–30
A psalm teaches us to see ordinary provision as God’s continuing care. The world does not run independently of the One who made it; living things depend on His generous sustaining work.
Begin here
Foundation · For the adult. Allow 15–20 minutes total to read the main passage, learn and reflect through Foundation, and review the family flow. Context and leading help are supplied.
Family conversation · Roughly five to fifteen together. Allow 10–15 minutes for the whole meeting, including Scripture, recall, explanation, choosing Practice and prayer. You need a Bible and time to listen; independent reading or writing is unnecessary.
Going deeper · Optional, by readiness. Allow a separate 5–10 minutes to explore Hebrews 1:1–3 and the same truth more closely. Allow up to five extra adult-preparation minutes when choosing this route.
Practice: thank god for one provision. At one ordinary meal or drink, name a particular provision and thank God for it. Explain how it connects with the psalm’s account of His care. Carry one focus into ordinary life and return briefly to its meaning.

Psalm 104 praises God by looking closely at the world. Listen for the ways He provides for living things, then hear how they depend on Him.
A short recap is supplied in the conversation. Younger help supports the shared questions; older learners can explain reasons without acting as assistant teachers. Pause for worthwhile questions and continue at the family’s pace.
