Foundation · For the adult. Allow 15–20 minutes in total to read the passage, learn and reflect through Foundation, and review the family flow. Consider the dignity God gives people, the responsibility He entrusts to us and our need of renewal through Christ. Necessary context and leading help are supplied.

Family conversation · Roughly five to fifteen together. Allow 10–15 minutes for the whole meeting, including Bible reading, recall, discussion, choosing one Practice and prayer. You need a Bible and time to listen; children need not read or write independently.

Going deeper · Optional, by readiness. Take a separate 5–10 minutes to connect being made in God’s image with the renewal described in Colossians 3:9–11. Allow up to five additional minutes of adult preparation if you choose this extension.

Practice · Show care to one person. Choose one fitting way to honour someone you already know in a safe setting. Return briefly to why that person mattered before you helped. This is one focus to carry into ordinary life, at your family’s pace.

If you are beginning here

The earlier passages introduce God as the Creator who also cares for His world. A short recap is supplied in the conversation, so you can begin without completing those lessons first. This passage comes before the Bible’s account of human sin. The conversation also explains our need for Jesus, who saves and renews His people.

Use the younger help beside the shared questions where it is useful. Older children have room to explain their reasons within the same conversation; the deeper extension is additional. Give time for questions without requiring anyone to speak about private experiences or pretend to believe.
