The Attributes of God

What is God like?

God is great and good, and I can trust him.

By the end of this plan, your child will have explored what the Bible tells us about the God we can know and trust. Together you will have met the one true God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and considered His greatness: He has always existed, needs nothing from us, knows us completely and is present everywhere. David's praise and Solomon's prayer help introduce His majesty and knowledge. Other passages show His power and wisdom, holiness and justice, and the truthfulness and unchanging goodness of His character.

Your child will also have heard how God shows generosity, love, compassion, patience and mercy, and how His grace and forgiveness come to sinners through Jesus. Revelation's pictures of worship and renewed creation bring the plan towards the hope of life with God under His lasting good reign. Through Bible readings, pictures, conversation and prayer, you will have connected these truths with reasons to thank God, seek His forgiveness and trust His faithfulness on hard days.
