Little Ones at Home
Bible lessons to help parents and caregivers teach children aged 2 through Grade R.
Helping your child know and trust God.
Before children can read the Bible for themselves, they can hear its words from you. You can introduce them to the God who made them, help them understand what He has done, and tell them why they need Jesus. Little Ones at Home helps you teach these truths clearly, in ways a young child can begin to grasp.
Our hope is that children will come to trust Jesus, who died for sinners and rose again, and learn to live in response to His grace. As you teach, you are helping your child connect what the Bible says with the way they pray, give thanks and treat other people.
Deuteronomy 6:6–7 places this teaching within the ordinary life of a household. God's words are to shape the parent's own heart and be shared with children through the day. These lessons support that steady work: a passage to understand together, a truth to talk about, and something to return to at a meal, during play or at bedtime.
What your child will explore
God's character helps us understand His works; His works give us reasons to trust Him; and trust in Jesus shapes the way we live. The three plans explore these connections, with 25 lessons in each. You can use each plan on its own or work through them in order.

Teaching together
Practical help for opening the Bible with your child.
Each guide brings the Bible background, suggested words, picture questions and one activity together. You can see what you are teaching, why it matters and how to explain it before gathering the few ordinary materials you need.
Understand the passage, then read it together.
A short background explains the passage's setting and central truth. Suggested words help you explain unfamiliar ideas in everyday language. You then open your Bible and read the selected verse or verses aloud, showing your child where the words come from. The picture and activity grow out of that reading, keeping attention on what God has said.
Help your child make the connection.
Picture questions invite your child to notice details and talk about their meaning. A simple activity then gives you a way to explore the same truth together. In the lesson about Zacchaeus, for example, you help a toy character return something it took. You connect that small repair with Zacchaeus's changed actions after Jesus welcomed him, explaining that forgiveness is a gift rather than something a repair can buy.
The guide gives you words and questions for that connection. Your child can join by pointing, moving an object or speaking, and you have a simple question to help you notice what they have understood.
Pray, then return to the truth through the day.
Each lesson includes a short prayer arising from the passage. You can thank God for His goodness, ask for forgiveness or seek His help as you respond together. A suggested reminder carries the conversation into ordinary life: perhaps thanking God at a meal or recalling His kindness while helping someone.
Prepare simply and print what you need.
At the top of each lesson, two one-page PDFs offer the full-colour teaching picture and a matching colour-in page. Use the picture on screen or print it; the colour-in version gives you another opportunity to revisit its meaning while your child colours. The lesson also offers ways to participate through ordinary objects or spoken description.
Choose a pace that fits your household. You can repeat a lesson, spend longer with a question or return after a pause. The aim is a growing familiarity with God's Word as you keep reading, talking and praying together.
